Bit of a get together in August?

#1 PostAuthor: coldsummer » Tue Apr 09, 2019 7:29 pm

Evenin' all

I'm having a bit of a bash at my place near Bristol on 10th August. Anyone with a Zed is welcome and that includes the latest Z900RS because there is no prejudice here. Some of us own both, some of us have our feet firmly in one camp but we can agree to disagree! I mean, this ain't the Z1 Facebook page yet

Plenty of camping available and nearby B&B for the softies. There will be an inflatable pub, free beer and cider (until it runs out), Hog roast, burgers and egg and bacon for the hardy souls who stay the night. Maybe even some live music.

I know quite a few of you are coming but it would be great to see some new faces and even better to see your bikes!

Let me know if you are interested and I'll add more details.

Wow - that's a generous offer Simon.

You aren't after a captive audience for your guitar solo's are you per chance?

I'd be more than happy to attend if that's okay by you?
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Morning all

It's confirmed for Saturday 10th August. Everyone welcome, we will have a pub with various beer/cider/vino available, hog roast, barbeque and Chilli for those who stay for the evening, loads of camping or local B&B and bacon/eggs in the morning.

The location is Newton Lodge, Rockhampton, Glos GL13 9DY. It's about 10 miles north of Bristol just outside Thornbury.

A couple of points to note, although we are close to local town facilities it is still too far to walk and even though we will provide as much as we can I recommend you bring your own booze or snacks especially if you have specific dietary needs etc.

Anyone wishing to book a B&B please search local ones using the above post code or 'Thornbury'. There's quite a selection. I'm hoping to arrange a drop-off in the evening and pick-up in the morning subject to finding a sober volunteer driver!

I'll update further once I've sorted a few more details :D

With regret I've had to cancel this event. Thanks to everyone who planned to come but hope to catch up with some of you at the Lode instead?
