A nice H****

#1 PostAuthor: Big Fluff » Sat Aug 10, 2019 7:41 am

Picked this up last year (thanks Garry L for the tip off).
1983 CB1100RD, first owned by the late F1 driver James Hunt.
4-1 removed... had a new 100% perfect replica stainless exhaust system made for it then ceramic coated in the correct gloss black (very expensive but worth it).
All bodywork rid of silly additional "stickers", meticulously repaired and repainted, and I must say Dream Machine have done an absolutely outstand job of it all!
Restoration now nearing completion and I can post pics up later if anyone is remotely interested, because it's a Hodna!
Rare as hens teeth nowadays, even most parts being virtually unobtainable.

Nice one Will.

Sorry but I too love the old CBR (resisting saying the H word). In the day, and still now, they look a real rocket. Beyond my purchasing power now but still lust after one :amaze .
Kwaki lover - Z1000R2, ZX9R F1P, GPz1100B1, 350 S2 and a brace of 500 H1's. For fun I've got a couple of LC's too yahooooo

Having seen the Bike, and it's freshly painted bodywork I can confirm it is VERY nice.

Will, for some reason your Cheque for my finders fee doesn't seem to have arrived?...

Liked the Cb1100F too, only made for one model year, rare as a nuns thong.
