I think so , apart from Early Z1 had black foam ,dont know when up to ,( been in touch with top restorer he won`t touch black foam ,fire/toxic ? ) & UK seats & some US ones had a hook for the retaining bar to latch on to ,so the seat did`nt hit the side panel , I stand to be corrected occifer!

If you cannot get a good original Its not too much of a problem to restore a seat it may need a little welding and shot blasting and repaint. If tangs are missing you can buy a repair strip. The best covers ive found are by pit replicas £45 https://www.ebay.com/itm/KAWASAKI-Z1-Z1 ... SwDrNZPH2w and you can always cheat and poke some little squares of 3mm black foam in from base without removing a good cover like image below. In fact be careful if your buying a seat it may not be a genuine black foam seat. P.S the one on ebay is mine for sale and its genuine black foam
Heres one i did recently it was a U.S.A seat so had to drill it to take euro strap If you want any black foam PM me and ill sent you some to adapt your seat.

Not the best example but you can see on the pic below how much more 'padded' the seat cover looks and how much deeper the welds are than the very flat looking repo item....

Yes agree the originals are slightly more padded see my image with a nos seat (top ) and my effort with the best repro (bottom) ive found, might lift the cover and cushion it a bit more with the 3mm black foam i have if any body knows of a better repro please advise us.
I managed to buy the nos uk seat from kawasaki in 2006 when they were still available but as you can see it has extra holes in the base to suit the Z900. Suppose I could lift the cover off and junk the repro cover to put on my 72 base
