I have a set of A4 cars belonging to a friend
The two fuel inlet t pieces are a very loose fit into the carb bodies
Any ideas

Are they o ring t's or solid Paul? O rings easily replaced or if solid new available from allens performance or ptfe plumbers tape.

I do know when soaked in fuel they will expand and do the job, but if they dry out again they will leak, some cut the o ring shaped pieces off and use new o rings, me, i made new brass tee's that were a snug fit and bought o rings.

Common problem. The rubber dries out due to the lack of petrol.
If the rubber is not cracked, then soak them in cellulose thinners for an hour or so. This swells the rubber back up.
If you decide to replace them you can go with the OEM ones or the brass ones with orings. Deepends if you want originality or not.
