Z1R Airbox

#1 PostAuthor: Paul Whitehouse » Sat Jan 04, 2020 12:20 pm

Hi Guys,

I stuck a piece on the `Bike Help` section yesterday to try to identify the airbox I removed from my Z900-A4 a while back having now fitted bellmouths.

It transpires it's from a Z1R, but has the California style US intake. I was hoping it was a genuine Z900-A4 version and I was going to be able to retire (judging by some of the money I've seen them for on here and eBay !!) I had it on my Z900 for years and it ran fine (photo attached).

The airbox is in great condition as are the internal mesh filters....comes with everything as shown in the photos, but please note it doesn't have the `S` shape, crankcase to airbox, piece....I chucked that away when fitting the bellmouths thinking they were two a penny....looks as though they're as rare as rocking horse wotsits as well !!

I'd rather it go to a good home with someone on here...otherwise I'll stick it on eBay

I'm looking for £140.00 plus a bit of P+P. I'm in Crawley, West Sussex...if you'd prefer to collect.

Paul

It’s a Marving Paul...because of its fixing point on the frame you can angle it upwards on an A4...on a Z1 it tends to lie flatter.
