I do like a MK11 but not in its standard form, that big square rear tail light looks weird with such a spindly little tyre below it.

Now, if it's a Sanctuary special... Mmmmmmm!

Think it’s unfair to compare them with GSX1100, they came out a touch later, the few contemporary tests where reasonably favourable, but the CB900/GS1000 outhandled them, they weren’t slow though, yank tests got near 135mph with great 1/4 miles, the ST was even quicker!

The Z1 is a bit before my time and as much as I love them, the MK2 was THE big Kwack to own when I was 18. If I had to own just one classic it would be a MK2.
Far rarer than the first model Z1.

I've always liked the MKII - a good friend of mine had one new in 1979, I rode it a couple of times & loved it right from the start.
Can't believe that I'm lucky enough to have this one now :D

Didn´t knew you can keep the center stand in place with a Kerker 4-1.

Looks good. Do you have a pic directly sideways?

Sorry, unfortunately I don't have a full on side picture at the moment - In addition to retaining the center stand what is also good is that there is full access to the oil filter & drain plug.

I´m no expert with Kerker, are there different versions? If so, which one is yours?

(I do need a center stand)

I purchased this secondhand so I'm not 100% sure of the no.s but I think the system part no. is:

128-61001 for the Chrome System & 127-61001 for Black

I believe it's the same system for the Z900 / Z1000 / Z1R / MKII

I think there are just the two types - the “race” pipe is straighter and goes under the oil filter more like the Nitro pipe on the Sanctuary bike, the “street” version is curved round a bit more like you can see in that njwmct pic to allow oil filter access

I also have a Kerker that I'm going to fit to my MK2. A great period pipe with the right looks.
