Early 400 in blue (not sure of the model but it's the on with no tailpiece), 76 vintage, but white and red comes a close second and that bike looks very very nice!

I had a yellow 400DX with all the black parts chromed including the cylinder heads chrome Allspeeds great bike but wised up and swapped it for a z650b1

I bought a 400c Italian Import 3 yr ago with 900kmh on clock Satin Black , we never bonded so flogged it
to a RD nut and bought a Z900 with proceeds that said i love the Red & White :)

Nice RD400, though I must be the only person who doesn't like them despite having had two of them, an RD400C and an RD400D, one was blue, one was red, but I can't remember which was which, I thought LCs were loads better to ride, though the brakes were a lot better on the RD400s.

Looks like a lot of us cut our teeth on those. My first big bike was an RD250c. I loved it and would have gone for a red & white 400 after that. But the 'elsie' came along which turned me into a drooling teenage wreck.
