Z1R timing and carb set up required
New to this but I have a near fully restored Z1R that I bought a while back and need someone with the expertise and finesse to set timing and carbs up, its had Boyer Bransden ignition and re wire and also on foam filters with big bore kit, ideally someone not too far from South Yorkshire

Re: Z1R timing and carb set up required
Yeah I’ll try and sort some
Re: Z1R timing and carb set up required
Is it running at all or just running a bit rough?
Re: Z1R timing and carb set up required
Starts but then struggles to idle and abit of backfire
Re: Z1R timing and carb set up required
If its been standing a while, drain the float bowls , as a start point and maybe new plugs.
Todays fuel is so crap it gums up the pilot circuits in the carbs very easily.

If the fuels been in there longer than a few months, drain it out and put some fresh stuff in to be sure.

Plugs would be my first "port of call" as they are prone to fouling with the ethanol fuels nowadays, a new decent set is well worth it.
