Help need folks, should the frame and engine numbers on a ELR identical because I know on the z900 they are different. Thanks Mike.

No they're not the 1000R has it's own frame number system either KZT100R or JKAKZ depending if is Rest of World or American and the frame number should be somewhere between 1 (!) and about 6500, the engines are KZT00JE so they're J crankcases too, and they made a lot of Js. You can sort check if it's the right engine by what similar ones have if you ask about. The registry page lists some engine numbers for S1s which all came out of the first hundred frame numbers and they're all in the 30000s.
My frame is in the early 3000s and the engine is in the 40000s and the engine that was always in it.

Superb ChrisThanks for that. The engine number is ZT00e046504 and frame is KZT100R6356. How does that sound ? It's a Swedish bike Thanks again

Sound about right to me
It's a late one the last one on the registry page is #6445, there are five in the 63xxs and they're all Sweden Norway Finland or Denmark

Ok that's sounds right because I have seen the log book and it is actually registered in 84.
