Hi
My latest tale of woe is my A1 front brakes have been playing up, problems with master cylinder which my bike shop would prefer to recondition to keep original rather than fitting a repro which just doesn't look the same, the A1 uses a tall clear cylindrical reservoir, the repros look like the Z900 type, ie metal/short.
A genuine repair kit, i.e. piston etc is no problem, but there seems to be a metal plate inside the reservoir held in by two screws which is badly corroded, and isn't available separately, sorry I don't have a picture, i'm sure someone will know what I mean.
If anyone has one of the original ones that I could use for parts, please PM me, thanks a lot
Dave

Sorry to jump in on the thread. If either of you has a spare cover for the later type front master cylinder I would be very interested
