Z1000A1 float level?

#1 PostAuthor: drydockdavies » Tue Nov 03, 2020 8:37 pm

Just setting the float levels using the pipe method. Is the level between these marks or exactly on the base of the carb body?
Many thanks

Like bill says,I have always set mine midway between the marks, firstly i measure the float levels with a ruler to get a rough position.

Measure and set the float height as per manual and then check the actual fuel level. Set in between the lower and upper edge of the bowl as shown and you'll be good to go.

Many thanks, three just below carb body, one too high. Set and adjusted using zpower tool. Set the carbs up in the bench vice, still managed to cover myself in petrol!!

With the float valves I have always polished them using a touch of silver on a cocktail stick for the seat and bit of stiff card for the tip of the needle.
