Kawasaki KZ 1000 A1 1976

#1 PostAuthor: Lacy » Mon Jul 05, 2021 6:57 pm

We're selling my late father's bike (from whose account this is being posted), as neither myself nor my mother are bike riders! Hoping to see this go to a good home. Link to the eBay page is below, along with description and images copied across. The Buy It Now price at time of posting is £10,500, with reasonable offers welcome. This bike was originally purchased from this forum back in 2017, so it felt only decent to post its sale here again.

(As a stranger to this forum I've tried to follow the etiquette outlined for sale posts, but if there's something that needs fixing or changing please let me know!)

I am selling my friends motorcycle who sadly passed away. He has owned it for 4 years and in that time it has only covered a couple of hundred miles. It has an MOT until Sept 2021. It was polished more than ridden.

It is an absolutely mint 1976 ZR 1000,with 22,000 miles, it was imported from the USA in 2012. I have a folder of paper work covering its import, age verification and registration with DVLA. The previous owner spent a fortune bringing this bike to showroom condition and I have all the receipts.

The photographs do not do justice to just how good this bike actually is both to look at and how well it rides. You will notice in the images I have taken that it is fitted with a new Delkevic stainless 4;1 exhaust, this was fitted to allow the removal and bubble wrapping of the original exhaust to preserve it. I have included images of one half of the original Kawasaki exhaust which is almost in perfect condition. No rust inside or out (The other half is equally as mint).

Also included is a battery optomiser, bike cover, and Clymers and Haynes manuals.

If you are after a classic Z1000 in near perfect condition then look no further, I would be delighted for potential buyers to view it at my home in Solihull West Midlands. B90 2BQ. You are welcome to call me on 07736 902909.

Very sorry to hear Lacy has died. Condolences to the family. :( The bike looks great you should have no trouble selling it.

looks like it is sold, I had put a link to it as I thought it was really nice, especially with the standard exhausts, wonder if it made the asking price
