Fork reassembly

#1 PostAuthor: Skid Mark » Sun Oct 17, 2021 11:10 am

Hi All,
I started reassembling the forks for the 1000r. I had taken photo's of just about every step of the disassembly... what could possibly go wrong?
Anyway there are two short springs, one about the same gauge as the long spring and the second one is lighter ( shown below the long spring). Does anyone know where this belongs. I have a feeling it slips into the heavy spring but am not sure, it may belong above or below it. Of course I didn't take a photo of that particular detail, 12 months ago it was obvious where it belonged!

Thanks Al!
It looks like the lighter spring is on top to me!

Can't see it making much of a difference.
Cheers,

Mark.
