Chaps, Batfink needs a kickstart or the pivot. I have 2 kickstarts both slighty different.
Both have knackered splines. The one without the rubber hasn't got it's spring or ball either.
Also required is the the half moon clamp for the clutch lever assy.
If anyone has either kicking about or knows of a replacement source?
Cheers.
I'll be in the UK for a couple of days in July, so no need for customs to get involved.
Cheers

Re: Batfink needs a kick
Judging by the lack of offers I'm guessing the kickstarts are rarer that rocking horse poo and if anyone's got one they've locked it away in a safe.
Does anyone know if a kick from another model / make could fit for the short term?
Really don't want to running down the road bump starting it if the battery goes flat.
Cheers

Until a better one comes along a triangular file and a hacksaw is your friend in this situation.
Clean up the splines with the file, close up the slot in a vice and recut it with the hacksaw. Once you take it out the vice the slot will be wider allowing tighter clamping.

Re: Batfink needs a kick
Thanks, since posting that is pretty much what I did, nothing to lose and all that. Ran a hacksaw down the inside of the kick splines but noticed that it was still slack. The slot that closes when tightening doesn't go all the way through (side to side) so the solid section was stopping it from clamping due to the worn 'male' part of the splines so I adjusted it with the hacksaw, now it does, and clamps nicely. See how long it lasts.
