Ignore the corrosion, it's the only picture I have of them. This is what I had to do to sort the brakes ! Obviously I went onto further mods a bit later on.

Thanks for sharing, I guess you just cut the brackets out of alloy?
Did you use the original master cylinder with the cable?
Cheers

I bought it as a job lot from another Z owner, it came with a Lockheed master cylinder.

I kept the original system too but upgraded it with the D3 m/c lever and sintered Dunlopad pads from the US. The braking system is now far better than that of my GPz750 Turbo with EBC green stuff.

Sorry for the hijack. Funny you mention that, I have a Turbo that and the brakes are frighfully poor on it. I need to look into what is going on but the brakes on the 1100A1 are much better. lever is firm, it just doesn't stop like it should. Any suggestions? Pads?

I had very wooden brakes ( supposedly overhauled ) on my B2. The pads were like new but looked nasty and cheap. It still has the original hoses. A proper caliper clean, rebuilt master cylinder, 5.1 fluid and an all round set Brembo blue pads resulted in wheel locking performance. The only downside is the lack of tyre contact patch using standard sizes.
