Thanks for the reply mate, so the ones i have on it are the same, holes top and bottom for running the wires through but the real ones have a wider spot in the middle between the handlebar clamps like this.
They are just another part that lads discarded when old and rusty for shiny new aftermarket parts. Rare enough now.

Scored a set and shocks too. This makes the bike 95% factory stock.

You mind me asking, how much is the duty etc. on the €150 from the states to Ireland. I’m looking for a 1000rfork leg for over a year with no luck. Had see one in the us but bottled out, that was before I realised how hard they were to source.

Trick is to sign up for addresspal and give the proper phone and email. Have it shipped to your home through that, the shipping often works out cheaper (the US goes by weight from €15 to €55 but the UK is a flat rate of €6.50 no matter what the weight and its up to 20kg), ask the shipper to include no receipt and thats the most important part, that way they have to value the part by eye as they do not have the resources to chase everything that comes through. Worse case they will send you an email or ring you and then just make up a number like €30 even if its €150. I bought a rear Z1 Lester for €450 and they valued it at €25...no joke. Then you pay the duty on that plus 6.50 admin. I have literately save thousands.

I’ll have to look into addresspal, sounds like the way to go!
