1974 Kawasaki Z1A
An unrestored and mainly original bike with frame and engine numbers within 15 of each other. In good mechanical condition but with some patina as is to be expected for a 50 year old bike. UK 'Historic' registered status with V5 in my name - RFL and MOT exempt

Originally sold in the USA and later imported and registered in the UK.
Since acquiring the bike I have carried out a comprehensive check, service and overhaul, including replacing some parts for nicer items:
o Rear mudguard
o Sidepanels & tailpiece
o Centre console
o Used OEM airbox
o Rear indicators
o Grabrail
o Kerker 4/1 exhaust
o OEM steering damper
Key items like original airbox, steering damper, chain oiler (with dipstick), chain guard, document tray, No7 chrome bolts on bars, black fuel tap, centre stand, Stanley indicators, lenses & stalks. Correct date coded wheels. Looks to have all original fasteners.
Bodywork is tidy, with some marks to the tailpiece, some small chips and marks on the petrol tank. Inside of the petrol tank is good. Partial toolkit, but sadly no owners handbook.
Chrome is all generally very good. Frame paint and badges decent shape.
Aside from service items, the non-original items/issues I am aware of are:
o Period Kerker 4/1 exhaust
o Modern combined regulator/rectifier
o Later seat base, new foam and repro cover
o Missing label from chain oiler
o Dyna ignition
o Z900/1000 rear shocks
o Spark plug caps
It's had a full service: valve clearances, sump drop and clean out, oil & filters, plugs, timing check. Carbs stripped, cleaned and overhauled. Recent Avon Roadrider tyres, chain and sprockets and battery.
