airbox question !!!!
my 78 1000 is missing the rear airbox silences bit, do they run ok without them or do i need to source one ?

Hello Hard Road, it should run fine. I've experience of bikes run without that airbox silencer and there were no problems. It might be an idea to put some mesh or something over the hole though - stop birds nesting in there come springtime.
If you decide you have to have the silencer, they're getting a bit expensive these days !

In my experience you can have problems without the silencer.

thanks Dave, yeah i will cover it with something and yeah the prices for used ones is insane
