airbox question !!!!

my 78 1000 is missing the rear airbox silences bit, do they run ok without them or do i need to source one ?

Hello Hard Road, it should run fine. I've experience of bikes run without that airbox silencer and there were no problems. It might be an idea to put some mesh or something over the hole though - stop birds nesting in there come springtime.
If you decide you have to have the silencer, they're getting a bit expensive these days !

my bikes a long way off from riding it as its in a million bits !!!! but when its ready for the road i'll see how it runs
