My old A2

#1 PostAuthor: KevH » Mon Dec 01, 2025 5:11 pm

Just been in the attic for the Christmas decorations and found a old photo of my A2. It's probably the bike I most regret getting rid of (traded it in for £700 when I purchased my newJ2 from Knott Mill Kawasaki) At the same time Kawasaki where offering £200 off bikes over 750cc and Knott mill also knocked another £200 off new 1000cc bikes, that was a huge saving for a bike up for sale for £2349.

Still with the original rear mudguard - quite rare these days. I worked in Trafford Park for a while and seem to remember (probably mid 80's ish) going to Knott Mill which at that time had new moto guzzi's in the show room. Great picture!

When I did the deal for my J2(which I am still riding)on 31st jan 1982 they also had a brand new Z900 that they had built from new part. I can't remember exactly how much they were asking for it but it was considerably more than the brand new J that I had just purchased.
