However, you do realise that the first show you take it to, someone is bound to come up and say "Why didn't you mono shock it"? :roll:

Twin shock set up is often lighter than a monoshock unit with the linkage,etc :wink:

Hey, just read this thread from start to end and I have to say it's good to see a project develop and come together, and with decent pics too. I absolutely love the look of this bike, perfect mix of classic muscle and modern technology! I can't wait to see the end result in the flesh. Best of luck with the rest of the build! :twisted:

Recieved my welder.

Had a bit of a result i ordered one for Â£700 plus vat, waited 3 weeks still no sign of it :evil:

got a call from rep wed saying they have still not got one in so they will give me the next one up for some money

when they went out into warehouse to pack it they didn't have the next one up either so they sent one 3 up from the one i orderd

Now i have a Â£1600 plus vat welder costing me Â£700 RESULT

Spent yesterday morning striping bike down to frame. Going to start bracing frame and sorting out steering stops and all brackets ect. over next few weeks :wink:

Just a up date, Did my first ever bit of welding today!! Made a stearing stop and made a new rear brake mount, Think the welding came out ok for first attempt

Next thing to do is make a proper mount for master cylinder and a arm off the rearsets for a rose joint to bolt to for master cylinder rod. Then I will have a attempt at bracing the frame :roll:
