Standard airbox question ?????

Hi guys

I have just gone back to the standard airbox and standard carb settings on my z1000a2, it's all there except the bit under the seat.

So....I have a large hole at the back of the airbox with a new standard filter and new box to carb rubbers, also crank hose is connected.

Question.........

I believe what is missing is an 'induction roar' system.....will the bike run any differently with or without this part ?????
