My A4 clean up......

After much searching I managed to get this A4 last month.....

She's pretty much original and unmolested, and Looks quite good in the pic, but a closer look reveals.....

So,while the tank and plastics are away with Richie at MFX for paint I started the clean up on the engine and frame etc, still lots to do but so far..

She scrubs up well Gary :) .I would check the voltage regulator is working correctly before to long if I was you :wink: . The clear plastic terminal on mine was beginning to melt :oops: A new rec /regulator combo unit from Z power has fixed it now.

Wot u gonna do about the H~*da gear lever???????????????--how did that get there--you are going to change that out aren't you?????

Yeah, how did you get the engine to that standard? strip down and blast or just clean somehow?

No real secret, just gunk and solvol along with a tootbrush and scotchpad........ and LOTS of elbow grease!. I also spray on a few coats of clear engine laquer which tends to even the tone and hide those dark/light patches which always remain no matter how much you clean the alloy.

Ah, mystery solved. Now I know why my bikes are never as clean as I would like, I used up all the elbow grease a long time ago. :D
