The bike was imported from the USA into the UK during 2019 and has since had a full nut and bolt restoration, with no expense spared, to achieve the most authentic and original look possible.
It features numerous NOS (new‐old stock parts) where possible. The only significant non‐original parts being; the Doremi exhausts, seat cover and Front brake. Most other parts have been fully renovated and many are date stamped.
The frame has been chemically stripped and finished with zinc phosphate primer, and then powder coated with a 70% gloss black finish.
All engine casings, including crank casings, cylinder head and barrels have been specially prepared by Steve Smethurst.
The finish is outstanding and authentic looking.
The cylinder head has been completely rebuilt to include new valve guides, genuine exhaust and inlet valves, valve seats recut and lapped, and head skimmed.
The timing chain has been replaced with also timing chain guides and new jockey wheel rubbers. The engine has been reassembled with new oil seals and gasket set.
The carburettors have been completely rebuilt by Aire valley Classics and new choke plunger seals, courtesy of Rob Meggitt. Genuine Kawasaki carburettor inlet rubbers and clamps have also been fitted to the genuine air box and snorkel.
The speedo and tacho clocks have been rebuilt by Al Marshall.
The wheels have been totally rebuilt including original spokes and nipples (replated), hubs have been vapour blasted and cera-coated, new bearings, new tubes, rim tape and Avon Road rider tyres, and have been balanced using NOS lead spoke‐mounted balance weights.
The following parts which have been stripped and re‐chromed are: kick start, brake pedal, rear grab rail, headlamp ears and indicator stem x 4.
The tank and panels have been restored and resprayed as per original colour, to a very high quality.
The bike also includes an original tool kit, including feeler gauge and jet cleaning tool.
The front twin brake disc conversion using new (original looking) hoses and pattern 5/8” master cylinder
The bike has also had new sprockets and chain, all nuts and bolts have been re‐zinc plated and are correct as per original specification.
Also included on the bike a combined rectifier‐regulator and dyna‐s ignition.
The bike had originally covered 8500 miles but I cannot verify that this is correct.
Original service manual in very good condition and a rather worn owners handbook included.
This bike is as close to a new original machine and you would struggle to find a better example.

V5 In my name and address & bike registered Historic (No MOT or Tax required)
It was my intention to keep the bike for the very long term, but other plans are developing and these necessitate an earlier than planned sale of this outstanding piece of history. (I now have more plans and ideas, than years left!)
Sensible enquiries only please, no part exchanges or silly offers, thanks.
