Moidart classic road run

Pictures if you've gone for a nice run out and Zed spotting.

Moidart classic road run

#1 PostAuthor: KevH » Fri May 02, 2025 8:47 pm

Though my j2 is not old enough by 4 years you can still go on the run just not as a registered rider. My mates where all on british bikes as where 95% of the 90 or so riders taking part. The ride is about 100 odd miles through the stunning moidart peninsula. A fine day out with like minded people. I thought there may have been the odd big Z but it turned out I was the only large capacity japanese bike there. There was a nice laverda jarama and some XT500's. There was also a 2 day classic trials event on which was interesting. Well worth the trip up to Scotland as me and the wife turned it into a 10 day break.

Great pictures - I would love to borrow the Laverda for a week or two! - A mate of mine had a Laverda a few years ago but found the Mirage's reversed brake - gear change controls tricky to get used to. Some very cool bikes there.
