eventually got round to fitting some of robs refurbished choke plungers, happy to say it got rid of the off idle stutter, great job, didn't think i would get chance this early in the year to try it

I just got around to fitting the set of plungers I bought from Rob back in 2020! Time flies

Wow, what a total transformation (Z650). Not only do the chokes work properly now, with no racing, no spitting and a consistent idle ... but its also better on idle off-choke too. I guess they were sucking in air whether lifted or not ?

The bike had actually been off the road anyway, so I am not quite as guilty as it first looks, but I can heartily recommend this service. The carburation was always good on mine (except at cold), now its right on the nose from cold to hot

There are what came out...clearly past their best, but the replacements are all shiny and new now



I also took the opportunity to replace the seals in the vac tap and the filler cap which were also goosed.





Newly rezinced choke bar and lifters too.
