1428cc supercharged Light weight animal.
Daytime mot.
no lights (Except for a brake light) .
No frills (Except for a supercharger)
And no frame .(Well! not in the first pic anyway)
And everything (nearly) done in the shed with my large selection of hammers
Swingarm pivot mounted jig built to transfer engine mount points over to a soon to be very modified 750 Zephyr frame.
Zed motor, now a stressed member squeezed into 750 Zeph frame with the aid of a hacksaw and vaseline.
05 zx10r wheels forks and suzuki srad swinger and wooden mainstand
On its wheels.
Frame braced with rear suspension fitted, swinger changed to gixer 1000k4.
Subframe mounts welded on
Alloy subframe and (roadsign) seat fitted
Footrests fitted and fuel tank is a work in progress

PETROL TANK - PROGRESS SO FAR.
Started out life as a wayward road sign .
Upper shell welded inside
And out
TODAY.
Drilled a hole in the rear of the tank shell
And turned up this alloy bobbin (to take a rubber mounting strap)
Which was pressed in and welded on from the inside
For a neat appearance
Also spent hours with the wet and dry polishing out the weld seams.
Next job on the list is to weld in a base and make a front mount
(still plenty of opportunity for things to go horribly wrong so fingers crossed)

Woohoo .
Managed to weld in the base without it all melting in a heap.
Green outline is where i'll weld on a fuel baffle box which will hang between the subframe rails and provide a mount for the tap and a bit of extra capacity

REAR LIGHT MOUNT.
Little bit more progress this week.
Made up this alloy plate which will hold the rear light and form somewhere to hide the battery .
After welding it into the seat unit the welds were blended in so it looks like one piece.
And also forms the other half of the undertray
Light unit is ZX7R
Also had a swift session on the lathe and finished off the adjustable subframe struts.
As well as making up a threaded mounting stub
To take the fuel tanks front mount

Any clues to wot filler cap you'll be fitting?
Maybe put twin fillers on there - endurance style (just a thought)
Will be the race flush filler type maybe single maybe twin.
Depends on what i can lay my hands on.
Was thinking of making my own again but - been there/done that - so i've put a wanted ad on a few forums and am waiting to see if owt turns up.
