How many members still riding

#1 PostAuthor: StephenW » Fri Dec 07, 2012 7:30 pm

How many members are still using there Z's this winter.
Still using my Z1R every day, through rain, frost and snow. A round trip of 82 miles every day. The bike never misess a beet.
This is the best time of year, all the warm weather bikers have locked there bikes away for the winter.
Keep ridding all year long.

Not out on the Zed, but always with the SR-hack...

Your Medal is in the post!

Seriously though, I've a lot of respect for you all-weather riders, in fact I used to enjoy winter riding when I was younger but haven't done it for years and certainly don't intend to do it again as I'm far too much of a wimp now. It's heated seats and climate controlled warmth for me, just wish I still had the heated steering wheel.

Used to ride to and from work all year round.
But as I only live a quarter of a mile from work - I now walk.
Been out on my Z1000a2 this afternoon. Will be going out on Z1B tomorrow early evening.

I know this will sound daft, but, down here it gets far too hot to ride in the winter, I still put my leather pants on and gortex jacket but its just horrible. Sunday rides are started at 6'ish as its light at 4am, we get home for just after 10am. I guess it's the other end of the spectrum!
