Z1000 frame or rolling chassis

#1 PostAuthor: floydsz1 » Mon Nov 15, 2021 4:06 pm

Hi, A good friend and fellow z1B owner is looking for a z1000 a1 a2 etc etc frame, ideally with a v5, its for a special he's thinking of building. He's already got a motor that he's built so wants something to put it in, would consider a rolling chassis, anyone got anything he's got cash waiting. Thanks, Peter.

If it's for a special I'd go for a z900/1000Ltd B frame as they are much cheaper..

We were talking about a Ltd frame. What's the difference between Ltd one and z1000 a1 etc.

The Z900/1000Ltd B model frame is the same as the z1/z900 in regards to rear foot peg brackets, but with a rear disk brake setup. They have a different frame number sequence - I think it's KZT00B instead of Z1F-.

I'm using a B frame as a base for one of my projects.
The main frame etc is the same and for a special you wouldn't know the difference from any other 900/1000.

Hello Peter
I have a Z1000A1 frame that i've not got round to doing anything with.
It doesn't have a V5 but it does come with a verified dating certificate showing it to be from April '77.
It is in genuinely first rate condition and came to me freshly painted literally ready to bolt an engine into.
pm me if you're interested and I'll send you some pics.
Chris.
