Good Evening,
I am after a advance/retard unit for a Z1A if any member has one for sale please? I must confess, I was replacing the return springs and the "C" clip decided to disappear.
I've been on my hands and knees trying to find it and as you may gather without much success. However, I feel it would be prudent to also have a spare one.
Thanks in advance (excuse the pun)
Kind regards,
Mark.

You can get box of E clips with various sizes on scambay for just a few quid tool station has some too tho not sure of size needed possibly M3.
Always handy to have these around as when they ping off the buggers go all over.

Re: Advance/Retard Unit.
I find it a good idea to keep a large magnet close by (ie next to) when im removing the eclips etc, that way if they do spring they tend to stick to that. Another option ive used is to empty a bagless vac cleaner, then hoover around garage etc, then empty contents on a piece of paper, a lot of time you'll find its picked up the missing item.
Dont ask how i know!
That said for £4.50 prob not worth the effort, easier to just buy the pack.
Ps Advance mechanism very hard to get hold of and expensive too!
Good luck
