Re: Z1R Cylinder Head
Hi rpeters
is it a Z1R D1 or a Z1R D3 (MK2) head you're searching for?
The Z1R D1 head is the same as the one of a Z1000A1 or A2 , exept for the paint!
The Z1R D3 head is the same as the one from a Z1000ST or Z1000MK2, the paint is allso the same.
Greetings
Philippe

Re: Z1R Cylinder Head
Hi rpeters
you can easily use a GOOD Z1000A1 or A2 head and paint it with a satin black high temperature paint.
The intake and exhaust valves are the same, even the camtiming is the same. When you change the head, don't forget to use the camshaft caps of the new head, they're specific to that head, you can easily use the camshaft bearings and the camshafts of the original Z1R head if they're in good shape.
Good luck

Re: Z1R Cylinder Head
You can even use a z900 head.
The only difference to the 1000 head is the threads for the 6mm exhaust studs which can be tapped out to take the 8mm ones.

Re: Z1R Cylinder Head
Have you found your cyl head yet? I’ve got a 900 head that is almost complete. I won’t add details in case you have as I’m a slow typer!
