Unitrak Gearbox Sprocket lock washer

#1 PostAuthor: martinz1000r » Sat May 13, 2017 11:53 am

Please excuse silly question.....

Lock washer for the Unitrack gearbox sprocket nut is dished. Which way round should it go? Does the nut sit in what is a concave shape or should it be the other way round? Can't tell from the parts diagram and I've loaned my workshop manual to someone.

This is the pic from the Unitrak manual.
Is the sprocket off-set and dished inside causing the washer to be dished?
According to this it appears flat!

Thanks Al, it is dished but I suspect as torqued down it will flatten out allowing the edge to be bent over as per the picture

If it's dished you always fit them with the dished centre facing out towards the nut.
