Those are Kawasaki vm26ss carbs ( only the Suzuki versions had both an air and fuel screw present , kawasaki have either one or the other, never both ).
Both VM26SS and VM28SS z900/1000 carbs have 3 bolt tops.
It's the earlier VM28SC from the Z1's that have 2 bolt tops..
For running K&N's you need air corrector jets fitting ( see ebay link or buy from me direct here via PM) and go up two sizes from stock on the main jet.
Leave ALL other carb settings stock.

The stock main jets size in the 900 26mm carbs is 115 so you will end up around a 120.
You should check the exact fitment of those carbs though as most 900 had air screws ( yours have fuel) and the 1000 had fuel screws so you may have 1000 carbs which also had a smaller 105 or 107.5 main depending on model.
If you can provide the jet needle number (5dl31 for example) and the pilot jet size this should enable the original model fitment of the carbs to be identified and a more accurate jetting recomendation.
