Re: Z1A 900 1166 BIG BORE KIT
These are the compression readings , cold engine,no carbs on.
Re: Z1A 900 1166 BIG BORE KIT
Ideally you want comp readings within 15 psi between lowest to highest.
Valve leakage could be the reason for the lower middle two readings but they also run the hottest so no surprise with that.
Gasket can be had from Cometic etc.
Pistons are most likely Russ Collins ( who is long gone now - 2014 ) as mentioned or early MTC as these had the skirt grooves too if the motor is USA built.
Some british firms also produced similar style pistons, Morgo etc.
The makers mark is usually next to the gudgeon pin or on the underside of the crown or on the pin boss so that is the way to identify them.

Thankyou very much.
Re: Z1A 900 1166 BIG BORE KIT
As was said have a look with a torch and mirror bearing in mind up-skirt viewing is now more than a misdemeanor
Difficult to see clearly but has that been piano wired?
Those comp pressure figures are perfectly fine and pistons, bores ring and valves are in good order. 170 PSI is 11.5 to 1 and 190 is 13 to 1 so based on modern fuels you are just about OK if you dont use too much advance. Race fuel like Sunoco would be better though. Cranking pressure and dynamic pressure are two different things and in part dependent on valve timing and other factors. My Wiseco 1166 kit has identical pressures and shows identical deterioration over time due to the centre two sets of rings running hotter. It runs fine on bog standard pump fuel.
Which barrels are they? Hard to tell from the picture. If they are later type you should be fine with the new MLS type of head gasket which is effectively a piano wired gasket.
Early barrels; i cant say but you should be able to find something here https://www.suzukiperformancespares.co. ... sket/5731/
Not that specific one but just as an example of an MLS style gasket. They also list a few copper and fibre head gaskets as well.
