I saw on one of the posts that a member buys and sells carburettors, my Z1000 LTD is missing the linkage for the accelerator pump and vacuum shut off device, does anyone know if the bike can run reasonable without these?
To complicate matters a bit it’s got a Z1B engine fitted but with the original carbs from 1980 LTD.

Re: Accelerator pump carbs
With the accelerator pump disconnected they should behave like normal carbs.

Thanks, that’s what I was hoping!
As they are jetted for a 1015 not the 903 fitted thinking they shouldn’t be too far out allowing for the pod air filters.
Re: Accelerator pump carbs
Yes! jetting should be close.
If you are keeping the pods you will benefit from fitting air corrector jets for improved bottom end response and elimination of any off idle flat spot if not already fitted.
