Hi .....
I am starting a cyl head rebuild and have an issue with valve stem seals
The original ones were removed while the head was at the vapour blasters, the problem is the new ones will not stay fitted to the valve guide, should they latch on the guide or move up and down the valve stem

Also, should the valve guides have a groove for the seal to locate in

Yes! top of guide should have a groove .
