As bank holiday boredom set in I de used to strip down a H head I have had lying round for a couple of years. All four inlet valve were bent, two particularly bad stood up at about 80 degrees of bend off vertical. Surprisingly all the exhaust valves were not bent and were straight and true…. How is this possible… any ideas or theory’s?

Maybe someone got the inlet timing off a couple of teeth.
