Moriwaki F1 camshaft information

#1 PostAuthor: pht9 » Sat Jan 08, 2022 5:07 pm

Hi, I have a set of Moriwaki F1 camshafts in my 1980 Z1R engine

Can anyone advise the technical specifications, such as valve lift and duration figures ?

I've searched high and low and unfortuately can't find the specs for any of the Moriwaki cams.
With actually having the cams though it won't be hard to work out most of the info required with just the cam cover off, a dial gauge on the cam and a degree disc on the crank.

I actually have the Moriwaki catalogue from that period, Its part of the Yoshimura catalogue. It doesn't list lift and duration, just Valve timing , tappet clearance, valve seat width, cylinder head torque and ignition timing, the part number for the cams is 131.201.0052. I may be able to get the other specs, I know someone who has a lot of Moriwaki stuff...

Sorry but I just spoke to my mate and he has the same information I have, If any of it is of help just say so and I'll provide the specs needed...

No sorry, It doesn't, you'd probably have to fit the cams and use a dial indicator to find lift and duration numbers,... I did try and get more information for you , my friend has the same cams and data and has never fitted or measured them....
