Your either not getting power to that coil or the ignition is not triggering it to spark. Check the double bullet power to coils connections under the tank. Also check the connections from ignition plate through to coil.
Not sure which coils you have so if they have spade connectors on the back and are not hard wired check those also.

Checked all connections , nothing amiss, I can’t have shorted something out could I ? I was getting spark before I swapped them over ! I’m at a loss mate !

OK, try swapping the trigger wires to the coils and see if the issue stays on 2&3 or moves to 1&4.
If it stays it's a coil issue. If it moves its an ignition pick up or broken wire issue.
Don't forget to swop back after.

Re: Won’t run on all cylinders
Hi all
So Oz At Z parts has had a look at the carbs and has noticed on the no2 carb with the pumper on there is a bit missing inside the float bowl !
This is the no two float bowl
Where you can see the hole
This should have a black off to stop fuel blow back from the pump diaphragm , il post a pic but I don’t know how to do it ? Any help please from any one who knows these pumper carbs

Re: Won’t run on all cylinders
I think that may be the part , where in the world is that ?
Re: Won’t run on all cylinders
Hi Steve
No that’s not the part
You have al them
It’s the check valve in the lower section of no 2 float bowl
It’s a blank off to stop the fuel from the pump running back to the float bowl
It’s not available as a separate item it comes complete with the float bowl
This is the reply from the guy sorting the carbs , any ideas??

Re: Won’t run on all cylinders
the part i have posted is the check valve there is also a small ball bearing a cir clip & O ring its listed in the parts diagram

That is for the top part of the float bowls
Their are 4 one on each float bowl
You have these that is not a problem
The forum is not understanding you
It’s the part that is built Ito the float bowl where the fuel is sucked up by the diaphragm
Not where it is pushed out to the injector nozzle

Regarding the above pic.
On your 28's only the square diaphragm is used.
The casting for the triangular sensor one is blank and undrilled.
From inside the bowl the ball bearing goes first followed by the brass weight and then the circlip to keep them in situ.
This forms a one way valve .

Re: Won’t run on all cylinders
if as you say its a blanking plug & is not available as a separate part can your guy make something to fit ?

Very mismatched set of parts there.
VM26 non pumper bodies with vm28 pumper bowls.
The hole on the 28mm bowls doesn't require plugging.
On the 26 pumpers there's a check valve there for the sensor diaphragm which is redundant on the 28's.

Re: Won’t run on all cylinders
Thought I would re-visit this, after having a 28mm pumper bowl sitting around for a couple of years I have eventually installed it on my 26mm pumpers, prior to that I modified the 26mm bowl by taking out the centre of the lower diaphragm and installed a grub screw in the vacuum port so it behaved like a 28mm set, of course naturaly the lower cover and outer diaphragm part have to go back on, but it certainly done the job i intended without the problems of the stock bowl.
