Z900A4 top idler dismantling
Hi Guys, can someone tell me if it's possible to dismantle a Z900 A4 top idler? I'm planning on doing away with the rubber bushes and using solid aluminium and new bearing as per Rob Meggitt and want to take it apart in a manner that I can re-assemble it. It looks like the spot welds need drilling out, I don't want to dive in and ruin it, any advice much appreciated, cheers, Mick

Don't touch the three spot welds.
You need to drill/grind off the domed riveted head of the hollow center pin , push it out and then lightly spread the bracket to slip out the sprocket with its hollow hardened bearing shaft.
The center pin with ground off head is unusable and you will need to make a replacement
