Chaps
Having checked the voltage at my battery terminals through a range of engine speeds, I was surprised to note it reads 15.7V at 3500 rpm. Normally, I would suspect a dodgy regulator, but I note (from the Haynes manual) that the Z regulator limits voltage to 15-16V.
Before I replace, could I ask wiser heads if such high voltage is normal on our steeds?
Yes, I have tried a forum search, but no simple answer available!

Re: Voltage at Battery z900A4
Short answer is no, probably regulator rectifier issue.
Re: Voltage at Battery z900A4
Thanks. As I thought….
Re: Voltage at Battery z900A4
Should be around 13.8 volts max above around 2k rpm.
