Clutch rod oil seal replacement
Hi, could anyone tell me if it's possible to fit a new clutch rod oil seal without taking the engine out.on my Z900 A4 please . Tia.
Re: Clutch rod oil seal replacement
Yes! Just remove the sprocket cover, pull out the pushrod and you can hook out the seal.
All the seals on the drive side ( clutch, output shaft and gear selector ) are on the trans cover so as a last resort you only have to remove the sprocket and unbolt the trans cover to get a clear shot at either of them.

Re: Clutch rod oil seal replacement
Thanks for that, I thought you could but I can't pull the push rod out, it moves about half inch then goes solid. Maybe if I put stillsons on and pull hard enough it might pull the oil seal out with it .

It's ok, put the stillsons on tapped them with a small hammer and out it popped,. just got to get the seal out now. Thanks for your help.
