Paully's unique organisation :o
The scottish rally is later than the South West probably an oversight on his part :D

Apologies, not going to be able to make it to this event - away on holiday on the 2nd with the family.

Was a bit of a tough decision - a weekend in a muddy field in Somerset with a bunch of fugly (but cool) bikers :D

or

2 weeks with my beautiful family at a private villa with pool on a Greek island :cl

Actually it wasn't my decision - I'd have choosen the rally - but I'm out numbered by 4 to 1

Hope it s a good one and I know I'm going to be gutted at missing it when I see the photos :D

Yep, certainly hope so - be a good chance to catch-up - you wanna split your trip inhalf and drop by for a lift up?

Guy yes indeed. however its looks like im riding on my own as dogsbollox has wimped out again! not his fault work commitments! We could meet up if thats ok!

If weather iffy i might just shove one of my bikes in the van and therfore have somwhere dry to sleep instead of a wet tent

I have actually planned a ride-out, believe it or not :D

I have decided that the best way to run it will be using the model my IAM club uses on rideouts. It is a very good method and providing everyone does their bit it works very well.

The way it works is that one person is the leader (in this case that will obviously be me) and another person is designated as tail end Charlie. As the name would suggest that person rides at the very back of the group, and everyone else follows the leader in single file. When we get to a junction the leader points to a place to stop and the person riding behind the leader stops there and indicates to those following which way to go. When he or she sees the Tail End Charlie he/she pulls out in front of the Tail End Charlie. At the next change of direction the leader will indicate again for the rider behind him to drop of and show the route. Using this method no one should get lost, regardless of traffic signals etc.

As not everyone reads this forum I shall explain it to everyone before the ride out, but the more that understand it before we get there the better. I was amongst those that got lost at both Yorx rallies, so I want to ensure that it doesn't happen to us South Westers. I may print a bit of a map if I have time to show the route.

The route I am proposing is 64 miles or there abouts (according to google) and takes in some really nice scenery. We'll send a raiding party to burn down all the cameras on the route the night before

Have sold a lot of tickets recently so I think it's gonna be a great rally.

I`m sure it will be a great rally Ralph.

Looking forward to seeing you and Marion although I think beer may take precedence over the ride out
