Even though I'm still rebuilding the wee f7 two stroke, I've finally got round to pulling the Z1r to bits and giving everything a fettling.....starting with the carbs ...they were manky to say the least, both inside and out.
A good bath in the ultrasonic and they've come up right grand.
All internals super clean, new gaskets, floats set, static synchronised.....think I've got the air screw set right, 1.25 turns back?? but we'll see...
Part one complete!!

28mm pumpers.
Best of the bunch.
1-1/4 to 1-3/4 turns out average when new.
It's only for the pilot mix so can't go far wrong.

Finally got the z1r on the bench... .now the clean up begins.
Engine turns over, albeit slowly coz shed battery is run down....lights work, horn and indicators have power.
Not got a lot of room in here so will have to try and be methodical
At least the carbs are stripped and cleaned!!

Need to go through the loom as I won't be fitting the original clocks etc (haven't got them anyway)
