Hello all.
I have just purchased a new project off Ebay, and it certainly needs a lot of work.
Back in 1982 i had a Z1000ST , and i worked at a Kawasaki Dealer as a mechanic, life was wonderful. Now life is great and i have just bought [well the wife says i was robbed] a Kawasaki Z1000, now i wonder if any of you can help me identify the exact model.
Frame number is KZT00J0043## [I do have the last 2 digits, have to be careful.]
Engine number is KZT10BE0310##[same again i have the last 2 digits]
I believe the frame is a Z1000J and the engine is from a GPZ1100B1.
The clocks are B1, on carbs , i am waiting for the V5.
Any help would be appreciated, and i will be looking for a lot of parts in the near future, once i have finished my present project.
Take care, Neil.

As you stated in your message you do have a Z1000J with a 1100 engine.
Show us some pictures please.

1000J frame with a GPZ1100B motor seems correct going by those numbers.
B1 motor will have the injector ports in the head if it's the original one.
