Mark. Last year the SW lads went to Harwich in a van and rode from there.
Trouble is Plymouth tends to go to the very west of France and it will be a long way from there.
There is absolutely no way that I will miss this one and hope we can get a hooj UK contingent to travel.

We discussed this at length over the weekend. What I suggest is that you make up your own group for the ferry crossing. There are 2 options whereby there is an overnight crossing on Thursday followed by a days ride to Kassel. It is slightly less than 300 miles from Hook of Holland which makes for an easily acheived ride in a day.
The second option is to take the day ferry and stop overnight in Holland or Germany. My preference would be the latter but you can decide amongst yourselves.
Of course we could meet up somewhere along the way and ride in together.
From memory the cost is £320 return for a cabin which sleeps four. There should be no need to book the ferry before February 2012 but the price does vary and if you keep an eye on the operators website there may be a month where booking is cheaper ?
One option for getting across to the UK ferry port is to van the bikes and park, usually for about a tenner a day.
For those that have never ridden abroad it is a breeze and more enjoyable than the UK as bikers are generally treated with more respect. And don`t worry about your Zed. If you take some tools, a puncture repair kit and maybe a cable or two, as well as the mandatory bulbs and maybe a fuse or two the bikes will make the journey no sweat.
I have to say that we have been met with enthusiasm and friendliness the times we have gone previously.
Definately not one to be missed.
