Hello,
does anyone know the Current Draw of a Z1-R Starter Motor? I'm looking for a more compact replacement Relay or use the built in one in an M-Unit (40A).
Mine is all painted so can't see any markings on it.

Howie

I don't wish to replace the Standard Kawasaki one as such but this thing shown below has a built in Starter relay which can take up to 30A and if the Starter Draw is less than that - well, bye bye relay.
These are just some random pics from the www - real pics when I receive it and fit it.

Hi,
I was looking to before I bought it but this diagram out of the manual shows some options:
also recommended SWG sizes & Current limits:
It has overload protection built in so I'll try it and see. Failing that I get hold of a Loop Ammeter and see just what the current draw is.
