Maybe next year Steve this year will jus tbe a tidy up next year I hope to fit CB1000 front and rear ends complete.

Anyway I managed to get a bit done today in between chores as per the pictures below.







Thats it for now until I get some more parts back from powdercoat, I will post some more photo's once I have made some further progress on the project.

Just a quick update on the project I had planned on running a 4 into 1 but Taffus came up trumps with a set of standard B1 exhausts. They need a tidy up but being painted as standard I should be able to sort them. Thanks Mark.



The old girl is looking a bit bare now hopefully have the engine out at the weekend and the rest of the chassis stripped down then get the new frame on the lift. The freshly powdercoated engine cases are fitted just the cam cover and sump to get coated.

Not much of an update sorry its been a busy weekend family wise. I did however collect the swingarm from the powdercoaters. Total transformation.

Now fitted to the frame along with the standard shocks.





She's not a perfect restoration with re zinc'd bolts etc just a nice clean up. Next up rear wheel to fit once I have fitted the new bearings and sprocket then the front end.

That's looking really nice, are you lifting the engine back in? respect if you are! cos I know they are effin' heavy! also I have found that if you use a copper wire wheel on zinc'ed bolts it protects them for quite a while and sort of makes them look like new...

Yes its a lift out job but I have friends with strong backs (well for now anyway) Once out I will give her a good look over whilst the cam cover etc is away being coated. Front yoke powdercoated then get the rolling chassis sorted before dropping the engine back in. Sounds easy typing it out!!!

They blasted it for me Paul all I do is clean off the dirt old chain lube etc.

Been a few days since the last post so a quick update. Engine will be out of the old frame this week, a big milestone and a chance to get the front end sorted and a rolling chassis built up. I posted a wanted add on the site for a set of crash bars similar to some I had on my Unitrak many moons ago.

Mick (sockpuppet) came up trumps with an old set in need of some TLC for the grand sum of a Z1OC Beanie hat plus postage. (yes I paid for the beanie hat)

Before cleaning and powdercoat rusted in places where the plastic coating has come off. A couple of graze marks on the outer edges which I dressed down with a file before sending to Les the man that can when it comes to powder coating.

Ha ! same here gshub i had a B1 many years back in lawson colours.harris performance pipe,gas flowed,right off the track (local lad raced it) i loved it ! allways on the back wheel & 3 figures anywhere i could rapid at the time
