Clock rebuilding

#1 PostAuthor: Z1B » Tue Mar 06, 2012 9:03 pm

there must be some good articles on rebuilds for speedo/Tacho about, particularly looking for new clock faces and (used to open them up) anyone doing the opening and reseaming of the stainless sealing strip, also interested in tecnical differences between Z1 clocks and Z1000 (internals and wiring differences) pointers lads appreciated.

There's definately someone on this forum which refurbishes clocks. The pictures people have posted are stunning, the clocks look brand new.
Someone will be along with a name soon enough :)

AL MARSHALL.

Absolutely top bloke.
Definately knows his stuff regarding speedometers and tachometers.

(Not budgie smugglers and takeaway food though)

I can vouch for Al Marshall - as can dozens of others on this site.

He has just done my clocks last week and the results are incredible. I was stunned and overjoyed with what he had achieved.

Beware the downside - my wife was convinced that I had bought a new set... and she wrapped the originals for posting to Al. Thats how good they are.

I will post the "after" pictures on my project thread (Club Restoration) at the weekend.

Bill

Thanks chaps, looking forward to seeing what can be done and what the likely costs are.
