Z1000 J1 Wiring Loom

#1 PostAuthor: Gary » Sat Oct 06, 2012 12:07 pm

Does anyone have a Z1000 J1 wiring loom in good condition they would like to sell?

or know where a new one can be purchased from?

looking at the wiring loom on mine it seems it has been cut and repaired with a pair of shears....

thanks

Gary

Strip the insulation off it, wrap it in four or five cable ties, wash in white spirit, replace any damaged wires, replace any damaged connectors, run in a couple of spare earths, remove any unnecessary wires, incorporate Dyna 'S' wiring, add in wires for the coil relay mod, wrap it back up.
Very satisfying, plus you get the chance to review all the internal connections where they simply wrapped two wires together and put a bit of tape round!!

All wire colours available in short lengths, all connectors, connector insulators, and either loom tape or self amalgamating tape available from vehicle wiring products.

I think I'll have a go at stripping, cleaning and repairing the loom, then if this fails I'll give J Browse a call.

Thanks for the advice,
cheers
